Our Improvers Squad is for gymnasts who are ready to take their skills to the next level.
By invitation, gymnasts of any age can join when they demonstrate the ability, enthusiasm and commitment to progress.
Improvers Squad
For children in School Years: Reception - Year 8
There are two classes of Improvers:
- Improvers 1: Reception - Year 3 (4 - 8yrs old)
- Improvers 2: Year 4 - Year 8 (8 - 13yrs old)
Sessions introduce and develop skills across acrobatic partnerships, with focused coaching designed to challenge each gymnast’ strength, flexibility, and technique whilst helping them build confidence in these areas and reach their potential.
For some, Improvers will be the pathway towards our competition squads. For others, it will simply be an opportunity to challenge themselves, refine their skills and excel more in a supportive, non-competitive environment.
Every gymnast progresses at their own pace, with the focus on developing ability, confidence and a genuine love of gymnastics.
Improvers classes are 1 x 45minute session, once per week.
These classes are by invite only in addition to gymnasts attending their weekly Gym Fun or Recreational class.
AGES: 4 - 13yrs old
PRICE: £32 per month
plus annual Club and British Gymnastics membership
Please note: This class is an addition to the gymnasts' regular Gym Fun or Recreational classes.

What to expect
Our Improvers classes give gymnasts the opportunity to build on their recreational skills and take their gymnastics further, in a fun, supportive and encouraging environment.
Through structured sessions and progressive skill development, gymnasts begin working through the National Development Plan (NDP), developing their strength, flexibility, technique, control and confidence while learning new skills and working towards their next level.
Gymnasts have the opportunity to put their skills into practice in a supportive environment while building confidence and learning what it means to perform.
For those ready to progress further, Improvers provides a pathway towards our Development Squad.
