We believe Pure Gymnastics Club is stronger when our families are involved.
Whether you have five minutes to share a post, arrive a little early to assist with equipment, give an hour to help at an event, or a particular skill you'd love to contribute, we'd love to hear from you!
There's no obligation to volunteer — every contribution is completely voluntary and appreciated.

Becoming a Volunteer
Willing to give a little to help our club hugely?
Even if you just want to arrive a little early to help set up equipment, the impact for our club is invaluable, and we appreciate all help we receive, whatever that may be!
We like to recognise the time and support given by our volunteers. Parents who become active volunteers may be eligible for a 15% recognition discount on one child's monthly class fee, subject to the Club Volunteer Policy.
We have 2 types of Volunteer:
General Club Volunteer - Helps out when no gymnasts are present
Child-Facing Volunteer - Helps out when gymnasts are present
PLEASE NOTE: All Child-Facing Volunteers must hold a valid DBS and SPC Course. More information on DBS and SPC here.
How can I help?
Equipment • Support • Events • Fundraising • Community • Administration • Skills • Classes
Our volunteers let us know any areas they'd like to help out with; it could be just one of the below areas once a month or a regular mixture - this is up to our volunteers, we appreciate any help in any area!
Interested in volunteering?
Whatever your strengths, interests or experience, we’d love to hear from you.
What are DBS and SPC?
A DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is an official document showing a person’s criminal history, cautions, and warnings, depending on the level of the check required for a specific job or volunteer role.
DBS check replaced the old CRB check.
SPC Course (Safeguarding and Protecting Children) is an online course, through British Gymnastics & UK Coaching. It is a 3hr, online, tutor-led course. More about the course can be found here.
As per Welsh and British Gymnastics requirements, anyone who is not a participant, but involved in the club whilst gymnasts are present must hold an active DBS and completed the Safeguarding and Protecting Children (SPC) course.
These are non-negotiable for the safety of the gymnasts.
Pure Gymnastics Club supports our volunteers to ensure they meet these requirements.
